UCR (UNIFIED CARRIER REGISTRATION)

The UCR Program requires individuals and companies that operate commercial motor vehicles in interstate or international commerce to register their business with a UCR participating state and pay an annual fee based on the size of their fleet. UCR program came into existence in 2007 after the Single State registration was discontinued. UCR is done on an annual basis and all the carriers who operated in 2007 but did not register under UCR program and wish to register for 2008 will have to register for 2007 before applying registration for 2008.
